We greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lord’s divine call to Pastor Donald resulted in establishing Bethel Gospel Fellowship (BGF) in the Capital of biggest democratic country of India. Pastor Donald started this fellowship in September, 1996 in Delhi.
Pastor Donald served Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) where he was called by the Lord to server Him. He got baptism in July, 1980; and served the Lord all over Jammu & Kashmir, Sri Nagar, Leh, Laddakh, Punjab and in Hamachal Valley along with other Pastors to Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs. He has been associated with Delhi Bible Church which is the head Church of Grace Bible College from 1986 to 1996.
As per the vision given by our Lord Jesus Christ, he started BGF in 1996. The vision was to convey:
- The goodness of love to various groups and communities in India to impart social, moral, religious, spiritual and secular knowledge among the people.
- To spread the word of God thru magazines and other literature along with arranging social, cultural and religious program time to time.
- To initiate and establish educational institutions, vocational training centers, tailoring and rehabilitation centers for orphan children, widows for their economical freedom. Giving counseling to the suffering families all over India.
- Setting libraries for spiritual/academic studies and computer education for needy students.
In 2002, BGF has been registered in New Delhi under the Indian Societies Registration Act of Govt. of India. And now by the grace of the Lord, this ministry has been serving at 5 places in New Delhi region and in number of Churches spread in different twelve states of India.
We have established a Bethel School for street children of India who have no support for their decent education. Bethel School imparts free education to children with many teachers. The Bethel School also provides study materials and refreshment to children. We also provide school books and study material to other school going children who cannot afford their study in the locality. We give free computer training to the needy students.
Since 2003 BGF has been running a tailoring Institute for women where vocational training is being provided free of cost. Most of the trainees get their skill in stitching clothes in 4 to 5 months time and start earning for their families. More than 900 women have been benefited by this program. Every woman who successfully completes the course is being awarded with a Certificate and the topper gets a Sewing Machine as a prize as well. These certificates and prizes are being provided in a ceremonial function attended by prominent members of the society like Social Workers, Leaders etc.
BGF has been conducting free medical camps in association with doctors from prominent hospitals of New Delhi where many needy people availed this medical facility.
BGF distributes clothes, bed sheets and winter clothes to the needy people and also provides food to them.
BGF conducts free counseling centers at number of places for broken families. Such counselings have saved many people and with God’s grace most of them are living together in peace. We also train young people in music and encourage them to grow spiritually in God. BGF conducts annual cultural program. For such annual cultural program we also go to various hospitals of the city and pray for the patients. We pray for healing and try to help them in their need.
There is no identified source of income for our ministries. All the above activities and ministries we are doing with the help of your gifts and offerings, and we do not rely on any foreign support. We make all our needs known to God in prayer and share among members. The need of sacrificial giving is taught in the churches and members contribute their free will offerings. Identified persons or elders keep an account of the funds and spent for various needs of the ministry as well as for supporting full time workers.
We are planning and praying to serve more needy people especially the children and old age people; thru children home, old age home and adult literature centers. We do find financial limitations in continuing the above ministry so we request all of you to kindly uphold our ministry in your daily prayer and continue to support us.
